Shogi Tournament on AbemaTV

Due to the coronaviurs many shogi players has to stay home so they are not able to play their usual games. Like many of us they has started to work from home so many players are offering online shogi classes, making some videos for youtube or playing online.

The video streaming company AbemaTV has a Shogi channel that it is accessible from outside Japan, so it is possible to see many games there. The time rule is 5 minutes for player plus 5 seconds per move. Games between players that live far away are played online.

Now they are making the AbemaTV tournament were there are 12 teams of 3 player each divided in 4 leagues. Teams are:

League A

Team Toyoshima.

Team Miura.

Team Kubo.

League B

Team Watanabe.

Team Amahiko.

Team Inaba.

League C

Team Kimura.

Team Yasumitsu.

Team Itodani.

League D

Team Nagase.
